Breitling Navitimer Jupiter Pilot 80972
The Breitling Jupiter Navitimer 3300 is a fascinating piece from Breitling’s quartz era. Reference 80972 was introduced in the late 1980s and combines a substantial 42 mm stainless-steel case with the unmistakable pilot-style slide-rule bezel and a multifunctional quartz display.
The watch is powered by the Breitling B232 quartz movement, based on the Japanese Miyota Y652. It offers a remarkable range of functions, including a chronograph, second time zone, day, date, month, alarm and hourly signal. The sapphire crystal and 100-metre water resistance add to its practical character.
This particular example has been serviced and the bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 19 cm in circumference.
Please note: the stopwatch/chronograph function does not appear to be working. All other functions are working, including the alarm and hourly signal. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket bracelet, which is not an original Breitling bracelet.
