Breitling Transocean Chronograph 7102
The Breitling TransOcean Chronograph ref. 7102 is a fascinating piece from Breitling’s late-1960s and early-1970s period. With its bold tonneau-shaped case and distinctive chronograph layout, it is a very different Breitling from the familiar Navitimer, but every bit as interesting.
Reference 7102 was introduced around 1969 and is powered by the hand-wound Valjoux calibre 7740. The movement features a three-register chronograph and date display, while the unusual 42 mm case gives the watch a surprisingly substantial presence for a vintage piece. The design is very much of its era, with the colourful dial and large case creating a wonderfully unmistakable 1970s character.
This particular example has been recently serviced and the bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 19.5 cm in circumference.
Please NOTE: the date function is not working. The watch has nevertheless been serviced, but the date mechanism should be considered non-functional.
