The Christiaan van der Klaauw CVDK Supernova is a distinctive piece from one of the Netherlands’ most interesting independent watchmakers. Reference CKSN3326 combines a clean, elegant design with the astronomical touch that has become the signature of Christiaan van der Klaauw.
The 44 mm stainless steel case houses the automatic CVDK 7760 movement, offering a 48-hour power reserve and displaying the hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month and a beautiful Super-LumiNova moon phase. The silver dial features blue indexes and hands, while the sapphire crystal and transparent case back give the watch a modern and refined feel.
One of the nicest details is the moon phase at 6 o’clock. It follows the lunar cycle in a subtle but very recognizable CVDK way, while the large date hand keeps the dial balanced and easy to read. Through the sapphire case back, the specially designed rotor inspired by the brand’s “Sun with 12 Claws” logo can also be admired.
