Rolex Submariner Date 1680
The Rolex Submariner 1680 holds a special place in Rolex history as the first Submariner to feature a date display. By 1979, the model had reached the final years of its production, making these late examples particularly interesting to collectors. The classic 40 mm Oyster case, black dial, rotating dive bezel and acrylic crystal give the watch the unmistakable vintage Submariner character that makes the 1680 so appealing today.
This example dates to 1979, with serial number 5.973.XXX. It is fitted with a 93150 Oyster bracelet and 585 end links, and the bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 20 cm in circumference. The 93150 is a period-appropriate solid-link bracelet for late-production 1680s.
